A WalkShop with David Pearl: Live from COP 2021, Glasgow

Online
12th November 2021 10:00 am

Join founder David Pearl for a very special hybrid in-person and online WalkShop, live from the streets of Glasgow at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference (COP). David will be joined by some guests and the theme of this session will be finding inspiration on ways we can tackle climate change.

David will be leading a group of participants in-person and welcoming participants from around the world to join in (and take part) via Zoom. Don’t miss the first hybrid WalkShop of this kind!

In this one hour WalkShop, you’ll tune-up your senses then go on a quest for inspiration before reflecting on the experience. If you’re joining us Zoom, you can take part from home or out walking, you’ll just need a charged device, some headphones and an open mind. If you’re joining us in-person, we’ll be meeting in George Square, Glasgow. You’ll need to dress for the weather and come ready for a 10am start.

What is Street Wisdom? Street Wisdom is an everyday creative practice you use as you walk. A smart fusion of mindfulness, neuroscience and wellness, it unlocks our minds and unblocks our creativity with every step. The perfect complement to static meditation, Street Wisdom takes us on a physical journey that not only calms and clears the mind, but opens up the subconscious to new ideas. Not to mention the health benefits of walking outdoors. All without having to travel to exotic climes or retreats. Suddenly, every street is full of inspiration. And whatever our questions, we are finding answers are everywhere.

COP26 is the 2021 United Nations climate change conference. For nearly three decades the UN has been bringing together almost every country on earth for global climate summits – called COPs – which stands for ‘Conference of the Parties’. In that time climate change has gone from being a fringe issue to a global priority.

This year will be the 26th annual summit – giving it the name COP26. With the UK as President, COP26 takes place in Glasgow. In the run up to COP26 the UK is working with every nation to reach agreement on how to tackle climate change. World leaders will arrive in Scotland, alongside tens of thousands of negotiators, government representatives, businesses and citizens for twelve days of talks. Not only is it a huge task but it is also not just yet another international summit. Most experts believe COP26 has a unique urgency.
